lyrics
I count my steps to pass the time away
When I go out around my neighbourhood at night
Focus on the path in front of me
I close my eyes and try to keep my breathing right
Alright
Running down the road we left behind
I stop a while to try and catch a breath or two
As I lean against the lamppost outside my old house
Burning up in a pair of torn up running shoes
On the pavement tired and stumbling
But somehow still my mind keeps wandering
It all seems so different
In the place where I come from
So I go out running long distance
‘Til I can barely carry on
Reconciled
Heading down a moonlit mile
That I’m a stranger here
Once home’s no longer here
It all seems so different
In the place where I come from
So I go out running long distance
‘Til I can barely carry on
EZTV were a band we felt very inspired by, and we've frequently used their music as a point of reference when writing/arranging our own. Glad to see Ezra T keeping it going with this great new album! Mt. Misery

Remember how Bill Murray woke up to I Got You Babe every day in Groundhog Day? If that song would have been Made Of Moods, he at the very least experienced three and a half perfect minutes each day. It’s one of those songs that I enjoy each and every second of, with it’s jangly guitars and hushed vocals that almost have a Beach Boys vibe, especially in the verse. Truly, it’s a song for the ages. But the best news about Still Life is that it offers eleven additional underground pop gems. Niek || Add To Wantlist
Released in 2001, “The Convincer” is a gentle gem in the Nick Lowe catalog; an anniversary edition provides opportunity for rediscovery. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 20, 2021
